Large dishes and designs
When working on a large design, we often need the bottom of a pot or earthenware object
Stiffen enough to support the weight of the container and we can build
Let's continue the upper parts and this problem challenges us.
There are several ways to do this, depending on how soon you want to get back to work.

 Cover the top edges with folded damp paper towels and leave the rest of the work uncovered.
Check when the paper towels are almost dry. Continue if the bottom is stiff enough.
Cover the container loosely with plastic wrap, exposing the bottom of the container to air.
Check the firmness of the container once or more every hour.
After 24 hours, cover the top edges with very damp paper towels, then cover the whole work loosely with plastic.
